Woken up at 10am by an unpleasant dream about a situation I wish I could stop thinking about.
Shower, then had a bit of time to myself for a couple of hours. Ate “Breakfast” at 1:30pm, left for work at 1:45.
Arrived at work, used the bathroom (This becomes significant), started shift at 2:15. At 3:30, begin to have palpitations and feel dizzy/faint. Spent about half an hour trying desperately to not collapse.
Avoided collapsing. 5pm during a brief break in track sessions, asked to test 20 karts. Drank a 500ml can of Monster by this stage. Finish testing, straight back to work, no break.
Track session gap again at 7:45, told to test all of the karts again before the final event. Also drank a 380ml bottle of Lucozade at this point. Final event starts.
Event finishes. Go to the bathroom at 10pm. Closing checks, leave building just after 10:30 (30 minutes after shift should have finished). Drive straight to a pizza place for food. Get home at 11pm.
8.25 hour shift. No break, no chance to use bathroom, no chance to get food. Nearly 10 hours between the 2 meals I’ve had today.
Have to get up early tomorrow so someone can give us a quote for a boiler replacement, then I have a 10.5 hour shift. Yay.
